Here below a description of the WIC generic crates built with normal and fail-safe modules from the S7-300 series of SIEMENS

For quality control purpose, an automatic tester was built to validate the correct cabling of a crate upon reception, capable of testing any crate variants. Automatic Tester User Manual

	Master crate	SIMATIC S7-300 CPU 315F-2DP: In charge of running the core program of the WIC. CP 343-1: Ethernet coupler. DIGITAL I/O: 2x24DI and 2x32DO modules for the connection to the magnets magnets + 1x32DO module for the connection to the Beam Interlock System (BIS)
